Closing, Reopening, & Deleting Tickets

Learn the process for finalizing tickets, generating transcripts, and cleaning up channels.

Overview

Closing a ticket in Busybee is a multi-step process that ensures a permanent record of the conversation is saved before the channel is removed from the server.

The Closing Process

  1. [Initiate]: A staff member or the user clicks the ๐Ÿ”’ Close button.
  2. [Confirm]: Busybee sends a confirmation message (ephemeral) to prevent accidental closures.
  3. [Transcript Generation]: Upon confirmation, Busybee immediately scans the channel history and generates a .txt transcript.
  4. [Logging]: The transcript, along with a summary embed (Opened by, Closed by, Duration), is sent to the configured Log Channel.
  5. [Deletion]: The ticket channel or thread is deleted after a 3-second delay.

Step-by-Step Guide

  1. [Click Close]: Click the red ๐Ÿ”’ Close button in the ticket interface.
  2. [Confirm]: Click โœ… Confirm Close to proceed.
