Transcripts & Archiving
Maintain a searchable, permanent record of all support interactions for quality assurance and security.
Overview
Busybee automatically archives every ticket upon closure. These archives, known as Transcripts, capture the full conversation history including timestamps and participant usernames.
How Transcripts Work
When a ticket is closed, Busybee:
- Fetches the last 100 messages from the channel.
- Formats them into a clean, readable text file.
- Attaches the file to a summary embed.
- Sends the package to your designated Log Channel.
Accessing Transcripts
Transcripts are stored directly in Discord within your Log Channel. To find a specific transcript:
- Search the Log Channel for the Ticket ID (e.g.,
#1234). - Search by the User ID of the ticket owner.
- Filter by messages sent by Busybee.
Reference & Configuration Options
| Component | Description |
|---|---|
| Log Channel | The Discord channel where transcripts are delivered. |
| Transcript Format | Standard .txt file containing plain text logs. |
TIP
Use a private channel for your Log Channel to ensure only authorized staff can view historical ticket data.
WARNING
Busybee does not store transcripts on its own database. If you delete the messages in the Log Channel, the transcripts are lost forever.
