Auto-Close

Ticket Nexus closes tickets on its own in three situations. All use the standard close flow, so transcripts, logs, and DMs behave exactly as they do for manual closes.

Scheduled closure

Created with /closerequest reason time. When the delay elapses the ticket closes with the reason you gave, attributed to System (Scheduled). Pressing Deny on the request message cancels it.

Inactivity

Set ⏲️ Set Autoclose to a number of hours. A ticket with no new messages for longer than that is closed with the reason "Inactive for >N hours", attributed to System (Inactivity). Inactivity is measured from the most recent message, or from when the ticket opened if there are none. 0 disables it (default).

Opener left the server

If a ticket's opener leaves, their open tickets are closed with the reason "User has left the discord." (attributed to System (User Left)). This is caught live, and a sweep at startup catches anyone who left while the bot was offline.

Timing

The scheduled and inactivity checks run every 10 minutes, so a closure can fire up to 10 minutes after its deadline. Automated closes post a notice and delete the channel after 10 seconds.
