Quick Start
This gets you from a fresh install to a branded tab list with sorted ranks and nametags.
1. Install the plugins
Install BusyTab (Installation) together with:
- PlaceholderAPI, then run
/papi ecloud download Playerand/papi ecloud download Server. - LuckPerms, plus Vault if you want to use
%vault_rank%from the default config.
2. Set your header and footer
Open plugins/BusyTab/config.yml and change the text. Each list entry is one line:
yaml
header:
- ''
- 'My Server'
- '&7Welcome, &e%player_name%&7!'
- ''
footer:
- ''
- '&7Players online: &a%server_online%&7/&a%server_max_players%'
- '&7TPS: &a%busytab_tps%'
3. List your ranks
Put your permission groups in order, highest first. The names must match your group names:
yaml
rank-order:
- owner
- admin
- moderator
- vip
- default
4. Check the name and nametag formats
The defaults show the rank in brackets in the tab list and above the head:
yaml
tablist-name-format: '&8[&e%vault_rank%&8] &f%player_name%%busytab_afk%'
nametag:
enabled: true
prefix: '&8[&e%vault_rank%&8] '
suffix: '%busytab_afk%'
name-color: white
To show your LuckPerms prefix instead of the group name, swap &8[&e%vault_rank%&8] for
%luckperms_prefix% in both places.
5. Reload
/busytab reload
The tab list and nametags update straight away.
Where to next
- Header & Footer, Player Names, Rank Sorting and Nametags cover each feature.
