Player Names
tablist-name-format sets how every player's row looks in the tab list. It replaces the plain
name with whatever you write, so remember to include a name placeholder.
Configuration
yaml
tablist-name-format: '&8[&e%vault_rank%&8] &f%player_name%%busytab_afk%'
afk-tag: ' &7[AFK]&r'
| Option | Default | Description |
|---|---|---|
tablist-name-format |
&8[&e%vault_rank%&8] &f%player_name%%busytab_afk% |
The text shown for each player in the tab list |
afk-tag |
&7[AFK]&r |
What %busytab_afk% turns into while the player is AFK |
With the defaults, a moderator shows as [moderator] Steve, and as [moderator] Steve [AFK]
while AFK.
Common formats
Show the LuckPerms prefix instead of the group name:
yaml
tablist-name-format: '%luckperms_prefix%&f%player_name%%busytab_afk%'
Name only, with a gradient:
yaml
tablist-name-format: '%player_name%'
The AFK tag
%busytab_afk% needs EssentialsX. It is replaced with afk-tag while EssentialsX reports the
player as AFK, and with nothing otherwise. Set afk-tag: '' to switch the tag off without
editing your formats. See EssentialsX.
Good to know
- This changes the tab list only. The name above the head is covered by Nametags, and chat is left to your chat plugin.
- Position in the list comes from
rank-order, not from this format. See Rank Sorting. - A new player's name is formatted as they join, then again on every
refresh-interval.
