FAQ
FAQ
Does this work on Spigot? No. BusyMining needs Paper, Purpur or Folia on 1.21+. See Requirements.
Do I need to restart after editing a config?
No. /mine reload applies config, message and menu changes. Only database settings and the
message prefix need a restart.
Will updating the plugin wipe my config?
No. New options are added to your files and everything you wrote stays as it is, including quotes
and comments. The previous copy is saved in plugins/BusyMining/backups/ first.
See Installation → Updating.
Is /mine the same as /bm?
Yes. /mine, /bm and /busymine are the same command.
Can I turn off the parts I don't want?
Yes. Every system is a module with its own switch under modules: in config.yml. See
Main Configuration.
Do I need Vault? Only if you want Mine Shop sales paid into an economy plugin. Without it, sales run console commands you choose. See Vault.
Do I need MySQL? No. SQLite is the default and needs no setup. See Database Setup.
Why don't players get anything when mining with Silk Touch? By design: Silk Touch pickaxes earn no XP, Zeta or BusyMining drops.
Can I turn off the "Double Drop!" message?
Yes. It shows on the action bar by default. Set Settings.Other.DoubleDropNotify in
modules/core/config.yml to NONE to hide it, or to CHAT to send it to chat, then
/mine reload.
Does it stack with mcMMO's double and triple drops? They add up, they don't multiply. mcMMO multiplies the block's normal drops; BusyMining's extra drops (Fortune passive upgrade, Memento's Stopwatch) are dropped separately and mcMMO doesn't touch them. A tripled ore plus a BusyMining double drop is about 4× the normal amount, not 6×. With Aurora's Blaze on the pickaxe, smelted ores get no mcMMO bonus drops.
Does it work with WorldGuard or claim plugins? Normal mining and enchantment extra-breaks respect them. Minions and boss summons don't check them. See Protection Plugins.
Are Vessel levels lost if a player loses their pickaxe? Yes. Vessels are stored on the pickaxe itself. Removing them in the Vessel menu gives them back as items that can go on another pickaxe.
Does BusyMining collect any data?
It sends anonymous usage statistics and error reports through FastStats:
no IP addresses, player data or personal information. Nothing is sent until the first restart after
installing, so you can opt out beforehand. To turn it off, set enabled=false in
plugins/faststats/config.properties (submitMetrics=false or submitErrors=false turn off just
one part). That file is shared by every plugin that uses FastStats.
Is this plugin open source?
No. The source is publicly viewable on GitHub, but it's
licensed "All Rights Reserved" by BusyBee Development. Redistribution, modification for public
distribution and reverse engineering all need prior written consent. See the repository's LICENSE
file for the exact terms.
