Milestones & Legendary Tier
Filling the Fishing Journal pays out four times. Each reward is given once per player, the first time their completion crosses the threshold, with a chat message.
With the built-in 10 species, the thresholds land on these catch counts:

Items go straight into your inventory, or drop at your feet if it's full.
The Seasoned Angler bonus is stored on the player, not in the config, so it applies wherever that
player fishes on the server and stacks on top of green_ripple_chance and orange_ripple_chance.
The Legendary tier
Once your journal is complete, gold ripples can spawn near you. Other players still need to complete their own journals.
- Chance:
legendary_ripple_chanceof all ripples spawned near you (default 2%), taken out of the blue share. - Where: any biome. The Legendary table has no biome variants.
- Catch: always a Starfin Leviathan, 100–220 cm, the biggest fish in the mod.
- Minigame: the hardest tier: 5 hits at ring speed
0.06, and the tightest reeling margins. See The Minigame.
The Starfin Leviathan has its own Legendary tab in the journal. It doesn't count toward completion.
Legendary ripples are checked against the journal every time a ripple spawns, not stored as a flag. If a server later adds a species that counts toward completion, players who haven't caught it yet stop seeing gold ripples until they do. Rewards already given are never taken back. The Legendary Dreamlight Fishing Rod
A reskinned Dreamlight Fishing Rod with its own model. It fishes exactly like the regular rod and has the same 64 durability. There's no recipe: the 100% milestone is the only way to get one.
