Dashboard Reference

A quick lookup for every button, dropdown, and toggle in Ticket Nexus โ€” what it does and when it's enabled.

Overview

This page is a reference, not a walkthrough. For step-by-step setup guides, see Dashboard vs. Discord Commands or the Configuration section. Use this page when you just need a reminder of what a specific button does.

Main Dashboard (/ticket-dashboard)

Button / Dropdown What it does
๐Ÿ“‚ Manage Categories Opens the category list โ€” add, edit, or remove ticket departments.
Enable/Disable Metrics Turns response-time and volume tracking on or off (used by /stats).

๐Ÿงฉ Use New Panel Style / Use Classic Panel Switches the deployed panel between the Classic embed style and the newer Components-based style. See Panel Styles.
๐Ÿ“ Set Log Channel Dropdown โ€” the channel where ticket open/close/claim events are logged.
๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ Manage Support Roles Dropdown โ€” global staff roles that can see and manage every ticket, unless a category overrides it.
๐Ÿšซ Set Blacklist Role Dropdown โ€” role allowed to run /blacklist; leave empty to restrict it to Administrators.
โฒ๏ธ Set Autoclose Modal โ€” hours of inactivity before a ticket auto-closes (0 disables it).
Enable/Disable Claiming Turns the Claim button on ticket channels on or off.
Enable/Disable DM Transcripts Whether the ticket opener gets their transcript DM'd to them when the ticket closes.

Manage Categories

Button / Dropdown What it does
โž• Add Category Modal โ€” name a new ticket category (e.g. "Bug Reports", "Billing").
๐Ÿ› ๏ธ Select Category to Edit Dropdown โ€” jump into a category's settings.
โฌ…๏ธ Back Returns to the Main Dashboard.

Edit Category

Button / Dropdown What it does
๐Ÿ“ Set Category Channel / ๐Ÿ’ฌ Set Parent Channel Dropdown โ€” where new tickets land: a Discord category for channel-type tickets, or a text channel for thread-type.
๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ Category Support Roles Dropdown โ€” staff who can see this category's tickets. Leave empty to fall back to the global Support Roles.
โ“ Set Questions Modal โ€” up to 5 intake questions asked when someone opens a ticket here.
๐Ÿ—‘๏ธ Delete Category Removes this category from the list. Existing tickets already opened aren't touched โ€” only new tickets can no longer use it.
๐Ÿ“/๐Ÿงต Switch to Threads/Channels Toggles whether tickets here are private channels or private threads.
๐Ÿท๏ธ Naming Scheme Modal โ€” pattern for ticket names, e.g. ticket-{username}-{id}.
Enable/Disable Agreement Whether members must accept a terms screen before the intake questions appear.
๐Ÿ“œ Edit Agreement Modal โ€” the agreement's title, description, and button label. Greyed out until Agreement is enabled.
๐Ÿ‘‹ Edit Welcome Message Modal โ€” a custom title/description shown at the top of the ticket, replacing the default "Opened by / Reason" text. The submitted answers are still shown underneath either way.
Enable/Disable Source Select Whether members are first asked what the report is about โ€” Plugin, Website, or Other โ€” before the intake questions.
๐Ÿ”Œ Set Plugin List Modal โ€” one plugin per line (up to 25). Greyed out until Source Select is enabled. If a member picks "Plugin" but the list is empty, this step is skipped automatically.
๐Ÿ“ Set Panel Blurb Modal โ€” a short one-line description (up to 150 characters) shown next to this category's Select button. Only visible on the New Panel Style โ€” see Panel Styles.

The Public Ticket Panel

Button / Dropdown What it does Panel Style
๐Ÿ“ฉ Create Ticket What members click to start a ticket. If more than one category is configured, they're asked to pick one first. Classic
Select (per category) Opens that specific category directly โ€” no separate dropdown step. New

Inside a Ticket

Button What it does
โœ‹ Claim A staff member takes ownership of the ticket. Hidden entirely if Claiming is disabled.
๐Ÿ”’ Close Starts the close flow โ€” asks for confirmation before deleting the channel and generating a transcript.
โœ… Confirm Close / โœ–๏ธ Cancel Confirms or backs out of closing the ticket.
๐Ÿ“ฅ Download Transcript Re-generates and sends the stored transcript as a file โ€” works even after the channel itself is gone.
TIP

A greyed-out button usually means a prerequisite isn't met yet โ€” e.g. Edit Agreement stays disabled until Agreement is turned on, and Set Plugin List stays disabled until Source Select is turned on.
