Troubleshooting
Start by turning on console output so you can see what Obfeco is doing:
logging:
console: true
Run /obfeco reload. Warnings and errors always show, even with console: false.
The plugin disables itself on startup
The console shows Failed to initialize database. Disabling plugin. with the cause just above it.
Invalid storage type—storage-typemust beSQLITE,MYSQLorYAML.- MySQL connection errors (
Communications link failure,Access denied) — checkhost, port, username, passwordand that the database exists and allows connections from this server. See Database Setup. - SQLite errors — make sure the server can write to
plugins/Obfeco/and that no other process hasdata.dbopen.
"Could not load balances of "
Storage couldn't be read when the player joined (for example MySQL briefly unreachable). Nothing stored is overwritten: their balances are loaded per currency the next time they're used. Fix the database connection; no data needs repairing.
A currency doesn't load
- The file must end in
.ymland live somewhere undercurrencies/. Currency id <id> is used by both <file> and <file>means two files have the same name in different folders. Only the first is loaded; rename or remove the other. Can't move <file> to <file>: a file is already theremeans a file in the top folder has acategory:set but its target folder already holds a file with that name. Resolve the duplicate by hand.- A YAML syntax error makes Bukkit skip the file's values; check the file with a YAML validator.
Run /obfeco reload after fixing any of these.
Balances look wrong after a change
- Leaderboard or total is behind: they read saved balances and are cached. See Leaderboards → How fresh is it?.
- A
givedidn't show up: if the target typed their name differently, givemay have gone to an offline profile with that name. Use the exact username. - Shows the starting balance for an offline player in a placeholder: the first request starts a background load; the next refresh shows the stored balance.
Changes don't apply after /obfeco reload
storage-type, database.*, vault.enabled and placeholder.enabled are only read at startup.
Restart the server after changing them. Everything else reloads.
A command fails from the console with no reply
With logging.console: false, successful console give/take/set don't print a reply. Failures
still log a warning. Set console: true if you want replies, or check
transaction logs.
