How to Fish

Master the art of rhythm-based fishing in three easy steps.

1. Spot & Cast

Instead of casting anywhere, look for Fishing Ripples—bubbling hotspots on the water's surface.

  • Stand near the water and wait for ripples to appear.
  • Aim your fishing rod and cast the bobber directly into the center of the ripple.
  • Wait for a bite (visual and sound cue).

2. The Rhythm Minigame

Once a fish bites, a series of shrinking rings will appear around your bobber.

  • The Goal: Press your Use (Right-Click) or Attack key exactly when the shrinking outer ring overlaps with the fixed inner circle.
  • Perfect Timing: Hitting the overlap perfectly triggers a "Perfect Catch," which can grant better loot and special effects!
  • Rarity: Higher rarity ripples require more consecutive successful hits and have faster rings.

3. Reel It In!

After completing the ring minigame, the fish will appear in the water and start to struggle.

  • Reeling: Repeatedly use your rod to pull the fish toward you.
  • Resistance: The fish will physically pull back. If you stop reeling or if the fish gets too far away, the line might snap!
  • Success: Once the fish reaches you, it's added to your inventory.
